Job Summary

As Process Safety Specialist, your job will be to lead environmental, health and safety activities related to a key project on a pharmaceutical site in Dublin. It will be well suited for someone with strong experience with process safety requirements in a similar environment. Please note this is a part-time contract role working 3 days per week.

Main Duties
  • For this job, the Process Safety Specialist will be providing EHS-related leadership and expertise on site.
  • Acting as the key liaison between manufacturing, engineering and project teams as well as external stakeholders.
  • Supporting/coordinating Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA), Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOP), and Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA).
  • Ensuring safe and effective chemical handling and relevant process safety measures are in place.
  • Ensuring all relevant legislation relating to environmental compliance is adhered to.
  • Providing EHS training to project teams.
  • Any other duties as required.
Your background
  • 10+ years' experience in a similar position within the pharmaceutical or chemical industry.
  • A third level qualification in EHS, chemical engineering or similar.
