GPC Finance is delighted to collaborate with a forward-thinking accounting firm located in Meath. With over three decades of experience, this well-established practice offers top-notch chartered accountancy services to its extensive client base. Currently, they are in search of a Tax Senior to join their dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will work closely with the team, delivering a wide range of accounting services to clients.

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Reviewing work and other assignments prepared by trainees.
  2. Liaising with clients and advising on all relevant tax issues.
  3. Dealing with re-structures and retirement planning.
  4. Researching and resolving technical issues throughout the compliance process.
  5. Research and remain up to date with relevant changes within the tax sector.
  6. Liaising with Partners, Managers as well as other professionals within the firm.
  7. Assisting colleagues with tax queries relating to mutual clients.
  8. Development of practice proficiency in Tax and specifically Corporation Tax, Payroll Advice and Revenue Audit.
  9. Acting as a key member on a wide range of assignments including tax advisory and tax planning projects.
  10. Assisting with specific consultancy assignments in all areas of tax, including Corporation Tax, Income Tax, CGT, CAT and VAT.
  11. Preparation of consultancy assignment reports.
  12. Liaising with Revenue on clients' behalf and assisting with Revenue queries.
  13. Management and development of more junior staff.
  14. Meeting potential new clients.
  15. Assisting the partners with devising marketing strategies.

Requirements

  1. 3+ years of general tax/accounting practice experience.
  2. An in-depth knowledge of Accounting and Tax Standards.
  3. Currently working as a senior in a practice/tax consultancy environment.
  4. CTA Qualified/Part Qualified is desirable.

Salary & Benefits

  1. €45,000 – €55,000.
  2. Bonus.
