We are searching for the best talents for the Apprentice Manufacturing Technician (Polymer) roles to be in Limerick.

Purpose

The focus of the Manufacturing Technician apprentice (Polymer) role is to provide a foundational understanding of polymer technology while contributing to the production and quality for manufacturing operations. The apprentice will develop the necessary skills to support the team while preparing for future career opportunities.

You Will Be Responsible For

  • Assist in the operation of injection molding machines to produce polymer parts used in medical devices.
  • Monitor machine performance and adjust settings as needed to ensure optimal production efficiency and product quality.

As an Apprentice Manufacturing Technician (Polymer), you will provide essential technical support for our manufacturing operations, including:
  • Troubleshooting equipment and process issues
  • Participating in validation and qualification activities
  • Collaborating with colleagues to minimize environmental and health and safety impacts
  • Investigating faults in a structured manner; conducting safety and quality checks
  • Performing preventative and reactive maintenance tasks
  • Utilizing troubleshooting methods and tools to resolve technical challenges with the support of Engineering and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)
  • Focusing on continuous improvement projects (e.g., line yields, cell uptime, waste reduction)
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work environment around your manufacturing line
  • Upholding our Credo and Behavioral Standards within the team

Qualifications / Requirements
  • Educational Background: Leaving Certificate, Grade 06 at ordinary level in 5 subjects, including a pass in Math and a language (English or Irish preferred)
  • Attitude: A positive demeanor and a hard-working ethos
  • Experience: Practical experience is desirable but not required
