Are you a skilled and ambitious Chef de Partie ready to take the next step in your culinary journey? The Kilkenny Hibernian Hotel is looking for a talented individual to join our dynamic kitchen team.

Following the rebranding of our signature restaurant, Amber in 2025, we are proud to deliver a refined yet approachable dining experience focused on locally sourced Irish ingredients. We also serve high-quality dishes in our traditional Irish pub and provide in-room dining for our hotel guests.

As a Chef de Partie, you will play a key role in preparing and presenting dishes to the highest standard across our outlets, working alongside a passionate team under the guidance of our Head Chef.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Take ownership of a specific section in the kitchen, ensuring dishes are prepared and presented to the hotel's high standards.
  • Work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chefs in the daily running of the kitchen.
  • Contribute ideas for new menu items and seasonal specials.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards (HACCP).
  • Assist in mentoring and supporting junior team members.
  • Support a positive kitchen culture with a focus on teamwork, learning, and pride in our craft.

What We're Looking For:
  • Previous experience in a Chef de Partie role or strong experience as a Commis Chef ready to step up.
  • Passion for quality food, presentation, and consistency.
  • A genuine interest in modern Irish cuisine and local ingredients.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Team player with strong communication skills and a willingness to learn and grow.
