We are looking for a detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Data Center Security Specialist (DSS) supporting our data centers across mainland Japan. In this role, you will work collaboratively with Data Center Security Managers to ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of physical security procedures. You will support Data Center Security Managers in implementing security standards and operational procedures across assigned facilities while assisting in monitoring and maintaining physical security systems and controls. Your responsibilities will include helping prepare and maintain security documentation, standard operating procedures, and participating in security system testing and maintenance activities. You will contribute to the development of security awareness training materials and assist in delivering training sessions, as well as generate and analyze security metrics and incident reports to support management decision-making. Working closely with security vendors, you will help coordinate maintenance, repairs, and operational needs while supporting security improvement projects and initiatives as directed by Security Managers. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in data center security operations while working alongside experienced Security Managers in a dynamic, technology-driven environment. The role provides a foundation for career growth within data center security management through hands-on experience interfacing with cross-functional teams to ensure security requirements are met.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Support daily security operations and follow established procedures
  2. Help prepare and deliver security awareness materials
  3. Process security tickets and assist with metrics collection
  4. Coordinate with vendors under management guidance
  5. Learn and implement security protocols and procedures
  6. Assist with security project documentation
  7. Support security training sessions
  8. Maintain clear documentation and daily reports
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Administration using Microsoft office and web-based portals
- Basic understanding of IT terminologies and principles
- Business and above level English in both verbal and written communication.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Basic understanding of Data Center Operations
- Experience in access control and video surveillance software applications (LENEL)
- Experience with workflow ticketing and extraction of performance metrics
- Familiar with financial planning and spend management
- Programming Skills (Javascript, Python and T-SQL)
