The European Federation of Organizations for Medical Physics (EFOMP) invites applications for a Chief Physicist position to lead the Diagnostic Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, and Non-ionising Radiation services.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced medical physicist to join our team and contribute to the development of medical physics services in Europe.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and contributing to the growth of these services, ensuring high-quality patient care, and advancing the profession through education and research.

We are seeking an individual with strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for medical physics. The ideal candidate will have experience in service management, quality assurance, and radiation safety.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Diagnostic Radiology, Nuclear Medicine, and Non-ionising Radiation services
  • Develop and implement strategies for service growth and improvement
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
  • Maintain high-quality patient care and ensure effective communication with stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development of medical physics education and research programs

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in medical physics or a related field
  • Postgraduate qualifications in medical physics or a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience in medical physics, preferably in a leadership role
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
