Location: Coolock & Surrounding Areas – DRIVERS ONLY

Schedule: Week 1 – Mon, Fri, Sat, Sun; Week 2 – Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri

Job Summary

The role of a Health Care Assistant is to support the Customer to live happily and safely at home. This may involve assisting with personal care (showering/bathing), dressing, incontinence care, meal preparation and light housekeeping.

Responsibilities

• Practice and maintain the most recent safety protocols, including Person Moving and Handling
• Report concerns about Customers or colleagues to your manager if safety boundaries are not being met
• Report safeguarding concerns to your manager
• Document accurately in daily logs all tasks completed with the Customer for each shift
• Maintain confidentiality at all times
• Attend trainings scheduled by InisCare and work within safe, professional boundaries
• Ensure each task (medication prompting, personal care, meal preparation, etc.) is performed with dignity and respect
• Encourage autonomy and decision-making
• Engage with the Customer throughout the shift in a professional manner
• Attend shifts as scheduled and contact the office promptly if unable to attend or if late; do not phone the customer directly

Qualifications

• QQI Level 5 Health Care Award or equivalent
