Position: Data Scientist (Business Intelligence & Visualisation)
Location: Galway, Ireland
Reports to: CTO

We are looking for a Data Scientist with expertise in business intelligence and data visualisation. You will turn complex data into actionable insights, using statistical analysis, machine learning, and visualisation tools to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply statistical techniques and build predictive models to support business decisions.
  • Create impactful dashboards and visualisations.
  • Develop algorithms that inform strategy.
  • Use modern data tools to analyse and present information effectively.
What You Bring

Education:
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
Experience:
  • 2–5 years in data science or business intelligence.
  • Proven experience with data visualisation and dashboard creation.
Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra).
  • Experience with Power BI, Amazon QuickSight, or Kibana.
  • Familiar with Elasticsearch and Docker.
  • Knowledge of machine learning tools like Scikit-learn or TensorFlow.
Preferred:
  • Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
  • Big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark).
  • Understanding of A/B testing and experimental design.
Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical thinking and communication.
  • Self-starter with curiosity and adaptability.
  • Able to translate data for non-technical stakeholders.
Additional Requirements:
  • Authorised to work in Ireland.
