WHY THIS ROLE IS VALUABLEThe role is a member of the Kerrygold Park senior leadership team and is responsible for the management of the capital projects portfolio.
This role is responsible for all technical and engineering aspects of their assigned projects throughout the project life cycle, up to and including hand over to business-as-usual state.
This role will plan, schedule and manage all the budgetary & technical aspects of their assigned projects to assure project scope delivery and compliance.
This is a 12 month fixed term contract. KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITYManage site capital project portfolio from concept, through to completion & sign-offAssume overall control for capital projects portfolio includingProject Scoping & DesignBusiness Case Preparation & Approvals ManagementBudget Preparation & ManagementProject Planning & SchedulingProject Execution & DeliveryTendering and Vendor SelectionContractor Negotiation & Contractor ManagementCompliance to applicable codes, practices, policies, standards & specificationsProject Communication, Tracking, Reporting, & Stakeholder ManagementDesign / Control of Project Master DocumentationKEY REQUIREMENTS & COMPETENCIES5+ years of engineering projects / capital management experienceExperience of budgetary processes, cost centre ownership and cost control.Possess strong leadership, communication, planning, people leadership and organising skills.Proven record in project delivery.Dairy processing operational expertise.Excellent knowledge of design and visualisations software such as AutoCADExposure to and knowledge of Operational Excellence techniques.The ability to positively contribute to strategic business decision-making as part of a senior management team.Process and systematic approach to project portfolio managementRIGOUR: Ensure excellence in own work applies effective professional skill, analysis and decision making, and planning and reviewing.FORWARD LOOKING: Leads others through change and contributes to competitive challenges and functional strategy plans.EXPERTISE: For complex challenges or new areas, applies effective professional skill, analysis, problem solving, decision making, prioritising, planning, and reviewing.CURIOSITY: Creates an environment for innovative thinking; rewards and recognises creative thinking and continuous improvement.
