Job Description:The Role: The Maintenance Engineering Supervisor is responsible for directing and coordinating all maintenance activities in support of production in a safe, cost-effective, and environmentally sound manner, ensuring capacity and plant performance metrics are met.
Responsibilities:
- Supervision of employees, including work allocation, training coordination, and addressing issues up to disciplinary counseling.
- Ensure adherence to Attendance Management policies.
- Recruitment and selection of technicians for assigned departments.
- Performance management, including conducting 121s, appraisals, and reviews.
- Sign off on Time & Attendance weekly, ensuring accuracy.
- Maintain a safe and injury-free workplace.
- Ensure compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety legislation and procedures.
- Partner with Quality to ensure standards are met.
- Foster a culture of right first time (RFT) to ensure product quality.
- Assess equipment issues and reliability, applying preventative and corrective maintenance methods.
- Follow SAP Next procedures.
Who You Are:
- Engineering Science degree or recognized equivalent.
- Minimum 8+ years' experience in engineering maintenance leadership, preferably in Medical Device or Pharmaceutical industries.
- Trades qualification is an advantage.
- Proven high performance and results-oriented.
- Excellent leadership, facilitation, and communication skills.
- Strong project management experience.
- Ability to influence within a matrix organization.
- Experience with planning and change management in high-paced environments.
- Ability to teach and coach.
- Preferable experience with SAP Next / PM systems and Calibration Systems.
- Experience in ATEX environments is an advantage.
- Knowledge of preventive and proactive maintenance approaches.
- Understanding of Quality, Environmental, and Safety standards, including GMP.
- Analytical skills with Lean Six Sigma experience.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
- Proficient in MS Office tools.
- Methodical work approach.
