As Financial Accountant (EMEA) in the Riot Games Dublin office, you will support senior leadership in Europe by managing reporting, compliance, and processes. You will handle the preparation of statutory statements and assist with annual fiscal audits in an EMEA environment, with a broad awareness of financial and legal implications. You will report to the Accounting Manager. Your judgment and integrity will help you maintain best-in-class processes and systems.

This is a 4-month contract role covering paternity leave within our Dublin office, based on-site.

Responsibilities

  1. Participate in all activities related to full-cycle accounting, including building journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, preparing monthly reporting packages, answering questions from the central accounting team, and researching discrepancies.
  2. Drive the year-end financial process, coordinating with external auditors, tax advisors, and signing off on local financial statements across jurisdictions.
  3. Handle compliance for Riot subsidiary companies, collaborating with teams such as Talent, Legal, and Treasury.
  4. Research unusual transactions, follow up for more information, and discuss findings with the accounting team for proper treatment.
  5. Maintain a tight monthly reporting schedule according to established timeframes.
  6. Investigate account fluctuations, monitor trends, and work with other teams to understand the underlying stories.
  7. Provide data analysis and ad-hoc reports to answer finance-related questions and communicate financial insights effectively.
  8. This role requires high attention to detail and the ability to analyze financial data to identify trends and support business decisions.
  9. Communicate clearly and factually with stakeholders to keep them informed and aligned with goals.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting certification such as ACA or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Excel and accounting software like Oracle.
  • Experience with Big 4 or mid-tier assurance services.
  • 1-2 years of post-qualification experience in industry is a plus.
  • Experience with year-end financial processes, external audits, and sign-off procedures across jurisdictions is a plus.
  • Payroll experience is a bonus.

Success in this role relies on craftsmanship, collaboration, and decision-making that prioritizes team members. Being a gaming fan is not required.
