You will handle the preparation of statutory statements and assist with annual fiscal audits in an EMEA environment, with a broad awareness of financial and legal implications. You will report to the Accounting Manager. Your judgment and integrity will help you maintain best-in-class processes and systems.
This is a 4-month contract role covering paternity leave within our Dublin office, based on-site.
Responsibilities
- Participate in all activities related to full-cycle accounting, including building journal entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, preparing monthly reporting packages, answering questions from the central accounting team, and researching discrepancies.

- Handle compliance for Riot subsidiary companies, collaborating with teams such as Talent, Legal, and Treasury.
- Research unusual transactions, follow up for more information, and discuss findings with the accounting team for proper treatment.
- Maintain a tight monthly reporting schedule according to established timeframes.
- Investigate account fluctuations, monitor trends, and work with other teams to understand the underlying stories.
- Provide data analysis and ad-hoc reports to answer finance-related questions and communicate financial insights effectively.
- This role requires high attention to detail and the ability to analyze financial data to identify trends and support business decisions.
- Communicate clearly and factually with stakeholders to keep them informed and aligned with goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting certification such as ACA or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting software like Oracle.
- Experience with Big 4 or mid-tier assurance services.
- 1-2 years of post-qualification experience in industry is a plus.
- Experience with year-end financial processes, external audits, and sign-off procedures across jurisdictions is a plus.
- Payroll experience is a bonus.
Success in this role relies on craftsmanship, collaboration, and decision-making that prioritizes team members. Being a gaming fan is not required.
