The role

As a Graduate Finance professional at PM Group, your first two years will bring opportunities to develop your knowledge and experience across a multitude of areas, with a rich variety of new challenges. You will gain a wide breadth of commercial experience whilst studying for your professional accountancy examinations, setting you up for a successful career in finance. The Finance Graduate Scheme offers exposure to all aspects of accounting including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Accounting, Taxation, Treasury and Financial Reporting.

What you can expect from PM Group\'s Finance Graduate Programme

  • Experience across our Finance functions where you will work with a highly skilled teams to deliver financial reports and influence commercial decisions.

Experience working closely with our Global business assisting with management of projects from a financial perspective from commencement to cessation, gaining further understanding and experience of accounting in different locations. You will also work closely with our Regulatory and Analytical teams understanding the critical value they bring to our business

Responsibilities
  • Contributing to the Group monthly account closing process, including GL population, accounts analysis and reconciliations and assist with the preparation of monthly management reporting packs
  • Working across the Finance Department supporting daily and monthly transaction processing activities when required using PM Group's ERP Software
  • Supporting our team of Client Project Managers with the commercial analysis of projects
  • Working with various teams in the preparation of legal entities' financial statements across the Group
  • Assisting the Group Tax team with the preparation of Corporation tax, VAT/GST filings for various entities
  • Supporting the completion of internal review and audits
  • Assisting with a number of high profile process and system improvement projects in the Finance Area
  • Supporting the Group internal treasury team in cash management and forecasting
Qualifications
  • Good Interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong collaboration skills, highly organised, takes initiative and ownership of responsibilities assigned
  • Detail oriented, takes great pride in delivering quality work within predetermined deadlines
  • Excellent Microsoft Office experience (particularly Excel)
  • Experience in working to tight deadlines with good attention to details and focused on getting the task done
  • Degree qualified in Finance, Business, Commerce or Economics
  • Experience in a professional financial environment is an advantage
  • An understanding of basic accounting processes
  • Desire to pursue a professional accounting qualification
