OverviewThe Painter/ Fabric technician is accountable for the smooth execution of all appropriate functions associated with GMP, non GMP and external tasks across site. They will contribute to the high performance culture within the integrated facilities management function by providing a flexible, accurate service to enable the team to achieve key deliverables. The role is an active member of the integrated facilities management function, providing support, guidance and expertise.
Responsibilities- Comply with client global policies, procedures, guidelines, regulatory requirements and execute current good manufacturing practice in the performance of day-to-day activities and all applicable job functions.
- Complete site training and keep up to date with the latest operational procedures.
- Work collaboratively to drive a safe and compliant culture.
- Attend CBRE toolbox talks and maintain a culture of EHS excellence at the facility.
- Provide high-quality safety, health and welfare technical approach to assigned operations; work with site permitting and compliance strategies.
- Complete assigned IFM works and external maintenance and Helpdesk tasks.
- Prepare walls and surfaces before executing painting tasks; pre-painting tasks including sanding, scraping to strip old paint, preparation work for surfaces, and applying filler.
- Paint interior and exterior surfaces using paints, lacquers, sealers or stains; maintain painting equipment to ensure proper performance.
- Carry out post-project cleaning of area, supplies, and equipment; support team with special maintenance projects as needed.
- Adhere to high-quality standards to reduce defects and exceed company standards.
- Respond to emergency requests across the site for building fabric damage, spills, leaks, drain blockages.
- Report maintenance issues to the maintenance team; follow all company policies and procedures; restock supplies as needed.
- Ensure repairs are implemented with minimal impact to end users or normal operation activities onsite; be flexible and assist the IFM team in any role required by the business.
- Supervise specialist vendors to ensure work is completed to required standard; issue permits to work for third party contractors.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively, either independently or as part of a team.
- 3 years general trade experience within a regulated environment, preferably in a GMP/Pharma environment.
