Post Summary: The Professor in General Nursing will provide strategic and operational leadership to support the expansion and development of general nursing research and practice at Trinity College Dublin. The successful candidate will contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in the Discipline of General Nursing and to interdisciplinary curricular teaching, supervision and mentoring. The post will expand on current research activity, and on the research priorities of the School and the General Nursing Discipline. This post provides an exciting opportunity to advance developments in the field of General Nursing and its components, which are of strategic focus for the Discipline and the School of Nursing and Midwifery. The successful candidate must have a depth of knowledge pertinent to the role and will be expected to attract research funding and attain scholarly achievements. The individual will also be required to connect with, complement, and enhance the existing strengths within the General Nursing Discipline and the School of Nursing and Midwifery.

Salary: This appointment will be made on the Professor In Salary Scale (€103,462 - €138,319 per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy.
