Job Description:

Job Summary: Perform all required testing for routine testing and product release testing, including water testing, environmental monitoring, endotoxin testing, BI processing, and particulate testing. Support other laboratory functions as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine testing to support plant functions, including environmental monitoring and water testing. Perform product release testing such as bacterial endotoxin and bioburden testing.
  • Conduct particulate testing in an ISO 5 lab on finished products.
  • Perform incoming testing for materials, including growth promotion testing in culture media and testing of biological indicators.
  • Work in an ISO clean room environment, including gowning and monitoring.
  • Prepare and update control forms, SOIs, and general lab documentation.
  • Generate trends and technical reports based on data with guidance from lab management.
  • Participate in lab projects like method transfers, verifications, validations, and equipment qualifications.
  • Isolate and maintain cultures of bacteria or other microorganisms for future study.
  • Support the Lab Supervisor and Lab Manager during internal, corporate, and customer audits.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to ensure continuous improvement of laboratory functions.
  • Assist in identification, investigation (OOS), and resolution of problems in the lab.
  • Develop skills and competence with analytical techniques.
  • Adhere to the company's guiding principles and code of conduct.
  • Comply with local environmental, health, and safety regulations and promote safety in the laboratory.
  • Follow all local site and corporate policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications: Degree in Microbiology, Particulate Testing, Biology, or a related science discipline.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Graduate or 1-3 years of experience in a similar role within the pharmaceutical, medical devices, or manufacturing industry.
  • Good knowledge of microbiological techniques.
  • Experience in a cGMP environment.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of particle analysis techniques is an advantage but not essential.
