Associate Director, Analytical Assurance

About The Role

Grade Level (for internal use): 12

Role: Lead audits and provide analytical assurance for Rating activities across corporate, financial institution, or structured finance sectors, as well as analytical activities within other divisions, as needed.

The Impact: As a Review Officer, you will join a team of risk management professionals representing S&P Global's third line of defense. You will influence the development of a risk-based approach to analytical risks and support the Chief Auditor in providing assurance to the SPGI Audit Committee, Boards, and senior management.

What's In It For You

Gain exposure to methodologies and procedures used within Ratings and other divisions, and build expertise. You will also interact with senior leadership within Ratings and other divisions.

Responsibilities
  • Assess and report on the quality of analytical practices within S&P Global Ratings and other divisions.
  • Review sovereign and public finance credit ratings, methodologies, and rationales.
  • Lead analytically-focused audits, designing tests related to various aspects of the analytical process.
  • Support other audits and reviews across the company.
  • Develop subject matter expertise within assigned credit areas and businesses.
  • Prepare Audit Reports and assist with Board presentations.
Qualifications

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in analytics with expertise in ratings processes and criteria.
  • Subject matter expertise in credit analysis for public finance and sovereign credits.
  • Knowledge of credit, macroeconomic risks, and regulatory requirements.
  • Independence, critical thinking, influencing skills, and strong communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with analytical tools like Alteryx, Power BI is a plus.

Additional Information

This role offers a salary range of $108,720 to $185,730 (US candidates), with eligibility for an annual incentive plan and additional benefits. For more details, visit our benefits page.
