Project Engineer - Ireland, Sligo - 12 Contract

Located on the picturesque west coast of Ireland, our Global pharmaceutical client is looking for a Project Engineer to join their state-of-the-art pharmaceutical facility.

Responsibilities

  • Safely coordinate the delivery of processing equipment to the site based on planned timelines and scope. Processing equipment includes e.g. autoclaves, LAF units, moulds, extruders, packaging equipment, automated vision inspection systems, lyophilizers, isolators, containment booths, stopper processing equipment and equipment upgrades – both hardware and SCADA.
  • Coordinate equipment installation and services hook up, working with equipment vendors and engineering personnel.
  • Lead the Project Team or support the Project Manager in the Factory Acceptance Testing program.
  • Coordinate all equipment documentation requirements.
  • Commission equipment for validation activities.
  • Prepare equipment training and maintenance protocols.
  • Report into the Project Manager on project progress and advise on key project outcomes.
  • Contribute in a team environment on technical problem solving forums related to product manufacture, aseptic fill and packaging.
  • Deliver process improvement projects and work with Business Unit leaders to implement improvement opportunities.
  • Lead regular Equipment/Facility Project review meetings and participate in weekly Tier Meetings and monthly Department Meetings.
  • Attend and engage in relevant project governance and cross-functional collaboration as required.

Desirable Experience

  • Third level qualification in an Engineering or Science or equivalent discipline/experience (Automation).
  • Experience of working within the medical device or bio/pharmaceutical industry is advantageous but not required.
  • Extensive experience in a relevant field.
  • Project Management experience is preferable but not required.
  • Interpersonal skills to operate in a multi-function project team setup.
  • Ability to work within a team and on own initiative to articulate and deliver functional requirements across disciplines.
