The Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Senior Physiotherapist for a Specific Purpose Contract to join our dedicated and collaborative team, providing exceptional care to specialist palliative care patients. As a vital member of our multidisciplinary team, you will deliver holistic physiotherapy services that address the complex physical, emotional, and psychosocial needs of our patients.

In this key role, you will play an active part in the advanced assessment and treatment of individuals with complex and/or chronic conditions, working autonomously to determine clinical diagnoses and develop tailored physiotherapy interventions.

You will support the Physiotherapy Manager in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of our physiotherapy service, contributing to ongoing professional development and the promotion of excellence in care across the organisation. All aspects of your work will reflect the values, policies, and procedures of Marymount University Hospital & Hospice, directly supporting our mission to provide outstanding, person-centred care that makes a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

Essential Criteria

A candidate must, on the latest date for receiving completed applications for the post

  1. Be registered with CORU;
  2. Be a member of or eligible for membership of The Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP);
  3. Have 3 plus years post qualification experience;
  4. Demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills together with evidence of leadership in significant internal or external service development;
  5. Demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development at the appropriate level; and
  6. Have the clinical and administrative capacity to properly discharge the functions of the role.

Qualifications and skills noted below are desirable, but candidates who possess them may be given higher priority during shortlisting.

  1. Membership of appropriate clinical interest groups.
