Unijobs on behalf of our public sector client have a requirement for a Cyber Risk Analyst to join their team. The duration of this post is 12 months initially with likely extensions thereafter. Hybrid working - must be able to attend meetings/workshops in Dublin 8 - 2/3 days per week.

Working 35 hours per week, the successful candidate will be employed as an agency employee and will be paid an hourly rate of €31.08 per hour based on an annualised salary of € 56,757. You will accrue 30 days annual leave per year and paid Bank Holidays.

The successful candidate will be working as part of the Cyber Governance, Risk and Compliance team. The ideal candidate must have a track record of 3+ years successfully understanding and managing cyber risks. A key requirement for this role is an understanding of cyber metrics and data reporting to support the Cyber Risk Management function.

Role & Responsibilities

The Cyber Risk Analyst is expected to manage the aspects of the Cyber Risk Assessment process, including identifying vulnerabilities, threats, and risks to the operations, information, and assets. This will include analysing and conducting organisational cyber risk assessments and providing recommendations for mitigating cyber risks. This will be conducted by adhering to best practice and standards, including NISD and NIS2 compliance requirements.

The role will also provide data analysis and reporting to help develop the Cyber Risk Management function. This will include detailed reporting of weekly, monthly and quarterly data packs to include KPIs, KRIs and trends. The role will be responsible for coordinating remediation plans based on these trends as agreed from time to time.

Skills & Experience:

Must have:

  • A track record of 3+ years successfully managing cyber risks within an organisation, preferably (but not necessarily) for a Health Sector Organisation, and this must be clearly demonstrated in the submission.
  • Experience of managing cyber risk identification, analysis and assessment and making recommendations on the mitigation of such risks.
  • Experience of engaging with a wide range of stakeholders in supporting on the identification, analysing, monitoring, and reporting of cyber risks.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity regulation & frameworks, in particular NISD/2, NIST and/ or ISO 27001.
  • A strong attention to detail and analytical mindset with the capacity to identify and prioritise key risks that may impact the organisation.
  • Be able to support the development of the Cyber Risk Function, including defining 2LOD (Second Line of Risk) responsibility.
  • Knowledge of building a Data Analysis model to support the identification, collection and analysis of relevant data to support the Cyber Risk Function. This included KPIs, KRIs and trend analysis.
  • Ability to create mechanisms for exploring structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data
  • Proven experience of developing dashboards and reports for key stakeholders
  • Good communication skills, verbal and written.

  • Displays a high-level of communication and interpersonal skills, including liaising with multiple stakeholders on cyber risk management and analysis.
  • Demonstrate experience in working collaboratively with stakeholders and partners to ensure that cyber risks are identified, analysed and reported on appropriately.
  • Collaboration with internal and technical teams to assess the effectiveness of cyber risk security measures.
  • An ability to quickly build relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders to ensure timely reporting on cyber risk metrics.
  • Displays a commitment to achieving quality results including experience in evaluating the provision of services.
  • Demonstrate ability to implement and manage change within the area of cyber risk management and analysis.
  • Ability to work with the other , (ICT) units to ensure compliance with the NISD and NIS2 cyber risk management requirement standards.
  • Demonstrates evidence of managing own work effectively and delegating appropriately, when necessary, within the resources available.
  • Demonstrates good problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Self-starter with a demonstrable willingness to take on responsibility and drive out workstreams within the cyber risk management and analysis function.
