Position Overview:

The College of Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Medical Center at Dublin, is seeking a Veterinary Assistant to join the Orthopedic Surgery team. The Veterinary Assistant provides operational and patient care support for surgery patients at OSU Veterinary Medical Center - Dublin.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain equipment and instrumentation for surgical procedures
  • Assist faculty and technicians with patient assessment and treatment
  • Provide general patient care and assist with procedures
  • Acquire and document vital signs, differentiate normal and abnormal values
  • Apply restraint techniques and triage practices
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, perform basic cleaning duties
  • Lift at least 50 pounds
  • Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
  • Pass a background check
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED (Certification or vocational training preferred)
  • 1 year of relevant experience (2-4 years preferred)
Additional Information:

Hourly wage ranges from $18.00 to $20.74, depending on education and experience.
