Job Description

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

This position requires a Microsoft / Linux Engineer with extensive infrastructure and information technology expertise. Responsibilities include engineering and maintaining an enterprise-class hybrid-cloud infrastructure. The role is within the IT security department and involves participation in the internal CSIRT, including cyber security incident investigations as needed.

Organizational Relations

This position is part of the IT Security group, responsible for overseeing information security within Citco.

Responsibilities

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot Active Directory and DNS; skills in Group Policy and Active Directory Security solutions are required.
  • Design, implement, monitor, and maintain Active Directory, including schema, OU design, replication topology, and backup/restore procedures.
  • Assist Security Architects in developing, designing, building, and deploying cloud solutions following security best practices.
  • Create and configure cloud-based infrastructure, including identity and access management, ensuring security.
  • Develop security controls for various cloud infrastructure providers.
  • Create scripts and automation tools to enhance security configuration, risk assessment, and auditing processes.
  • Maintain current cloud infrastructure, recommend improvements, and stay updated on cloud security technologies.
  • Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, resolve issues, document problems, and implement preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to improve cyber resilience continually.
  • Maintain documentation and diagrams for security tools, systems, and cloud operations.
  • Experience with enterprise change management processes, including ticketing systems.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • At least 3 years of experience in enterprise-scale cloud security environments.
  • At least 5 years of experience with Linux and Windows environments.
  • Strong understanding of Linux and Windows security.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell).
  • Excellent written communication skills for creating research, guidance, procedural, and support documentation.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills for working with team members and support partners.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex projects in a high-pressure environment.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and methodologies (Docker, Ansible, Terraform).
  • Relevant certifications such as RHCSA, AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Security, MCSE are required.
