Billing & Invoice Analyst

As a Billing and Invoice Analyst, you will work as part of the DP World Control Tower team, based in Limerick Ireland. You will liaise with management and internal support teams within DP World – along with customers and our 3rd party carriers in managing all billing support activities. The role is responsible for validating and processing carrier invoices, generating customer billing files and issuing invoices through SAP. The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills, a keen eye for detail and the ability to manage high volumes of data accurately and efficiently to meet customer deadlines.

How you will contribute

• Review and validate carrier invoices against contractual rates, shipment data and service level agreements.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies or disputes by liaising with carriers, customers and internal teams, while ensuring timely payment processing.
• Extract shipping cost data from the TMS to compile customer billing files, while cross referencing rate cards for accuracy.
• Generate billing files and create invoices using SAP ensuring customer invoices are accurate and submitted on time.
• Resolve discrepancies by liaising with carriers, customers and internal teams.
• Maintain records of billing activities and ensure audit readiness.
• Reconcile billing discrepancies and support month-end close processes.
• Identify and implement improvements in the billing and invoice validation process.
• Support the onboarding of new carriers or customers from a billing and invoicing perspective.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for invoice validation and billing processes.

What you will bring

• Have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar billing/invoice analyst role.
• Excellent communication skills and a track record in building relationships as you will be liaising with both internal and external personnel at all levels.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach to inquiries and challenges.
• Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy, with the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SAP.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
