Focus Ireland is seeking a Community and Tenant Relations Officer to work in Dublin, involving regional travel. This is a full-time, fixed-term position.

Job Overview

The role is part of the innovative Meascan Model, which promotes social integration by informing new residents about their neighbors' histories of homelessness and potential challenges. The officer will collaborate with tenants, service providers, property staff, and stakeholders to foster sustainable communities, empower individuals and families, and facilitate their participation in decision-making processes.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Facilitate tenant and community engagement events to promote integration.
  2. Develop tenant participation skills through coaching and training.
  3. Collaborate with departments to enhance tenant satisfaction and embed participation practices.
  4. Work with service staff on customer engagement initiatives.
  5. Ensure tenant input informs service improvements.
  6. Support the complaint process, including mediation and information provision.
  7. Set improvement goals and address issues through empowerment.
  8. Build partnerships with community groups and agencies.
  9. Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure outcomes.
  10. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Candidate Requirements
  • Third-level qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in a related field.
  • Full clean driving license and access to a vehicle.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and mediation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to align with Focus Ireland's strategic objectives and values.
  • Knowledge of the social housing sector (desirable).
