emeis Ireland are looking for Kind, Caring, Enthusiastic Activities Coordinator to join our team to enhance and support an excellent quality of daily life for our residents.

We are recruiting for The Residence Carton, Raheny Dublin D05N5K3.

Purpose of Position

To enhance the quality of the residents' well-being by providing:

Stimulating pastimes and facilitate residents to reach their artistic and creative potential in an encouraging and supportive environment.

Role involves:

  1. Resident Engagement:
    • Connect with residents, relatives, and friends.
    • Understand residents' lives, both past and present.
    • Encourage conversation, mobility, physical activity, and daily activities.
  2. Activity Planning:
    • Plan and oversee a range of recreational activities.
    • Ensure activities are appropriate and beneficial to residents' health and well-being.
    • Maintain personal life stories and care plans regarding residents' activities and lifestyle choices.
  3. Health and Safety:
    • Support the health and safety of residents, staff, and visitors.
    • Follow policies and procedures regarding falls management and moving and handling techniques.
  4. Communication:
    • Communicate effectively with residents, staff, families, visitors, and healthcare professionals.
    • Foster a happy working environment for residents.
  5. Monitoring and Recording:
    • Observe, monitor, and record the condition of residents during activities.
    • Assist residents with eating and drinking, making meal times enjoyable.
  6. Implementation Support:
    • Support the Manager in implementing relevant health and activity agendas.

Reports To:

Activity Lead, Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing or Clinical Nurse Manager.

At this time we are hiring only EU nationals who can work full time.

Pay: From €14.00 per hour

Additional pay:

  • Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Dublin, CO. Dublin: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

  • activity coordinators: 2 years (preferred)
