Wexford General Hospital is part of the HSE Dublin & South East Health Authority, governed by a Board of Management which is chaired by the Hospital Manager. Wexford General Hospital is a 270-bedded hospital providing Inpatient, Outpatient, Day Care, Outreach and Emergency Services and is situated in the South East corner of Ireland with access from the M11 and N25, accessed by road and rail from Rosslare Europort.

The Clinical Nurse Manager 3 - Bed Manager is responsible for:
- Ensuring the efficient use of hospital beds
- Eliminating over-crowding of wards and ED
- Partake in the operational management of the Navigational Hub, ensuring the flow and egress of the patient is in line with National standards
- Ensuring that an accurate Waiting List is maintained for all admissions
- Implementing the Admission Policies for both Scheduled and Unscheduled care
- Providing evidence of efficient and effective budgetary management
- Facilitating communication across the healthcare teams and maintaining open dialogue with other external healthcare facilities
- Assisting the ADON Patient Flow with the navigational hub duties when required
- Assisting the ADON Patient Flow in the management of the Patient flow team of CNM2 Discharge Planners, CNM2 Patient Flow, CNM2 OPAT/CIT, CNM2 FIT/Frailty and Transport Coordinator
- Participating in Operational Team meetings as required
- Enhancing patient management by improved admission process, comprehensive discharge planning and coordination with non-acute services
