Unit 4 Finance Functional Consultant (Contractor)

Contract Opportunity – Unit 4 Finance Functional Consultant (Contractor). Must be immediately available or on a very short notice period. 2 days per week on client site (East Midlands); expenses covered.

Are you a proven Unit 4 Finance Functional Consultant ready to hit the ground running on your next project? You will own the functional delivery from requirements gathering through configuration, testing, training, and post‑go‑live support. You'll be the go‑to expert, advising senior stakeholders, shaping solutions, and ensuring the system works exactly as the business needs it to.

If you're highly skilled in Unit 4 ERP Finance, with experience in configuration, process redesign, testing, and client advisory – and ideally with Oracle Cloud SaaS exposure – we want to hear from you.

Job responsibilities
  • Lead requirements definition
  • Process mapping/redesign
  • Design and gap analysis
  • Application configuration
  • Functional support for data migration and integration
  • Lead solution validation workshops
  • Testing support
  • Training delivery
  • Post‑go‑live support and other related functional implementation activities
Required qualifications
  • Unit 4 – Enterprise Resource Planning is a must
  • Oracle Cloud SaaS experience highly desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Experience working effectively within a team
  • Organised and self‑motivated with ability to multi‑task across concurrent projects
  • Experience managing change requests through development and testing lifecycle to standards and scope
  • Liaison with Oracle to manage client SRs
  • Manage on‑time project delivery and internal customer satisfaction
  • Assist with risk and change management on projects
  • Advising clients on options, risks, and impacts on other processes or systems
  • Effective communication and delivery of project outputs
  • Timely completion of tasks and regular status/issue reporting
