Are you ready to make an impact in the world of biotech innovation? Legend Biotech is looking for a Patent Paralegal / IP Lead to play a key role in supporting our Intellectual Property (IP) team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled IP professional to contribute to groundbreaking work in the biotech industry while collaborating with a dynamic, global legal team.

What can you expect?

As a Patent Paralegal, IP Lead, you'll be at the heart of our IP operations, providing high-level paralegal support across all aspects of patent law. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Leading the implementation of Legend's IP Management System, working closely with the Global Head of Intellectual Property and our China IP team.
2. Managing outside counsel invoices and payments.
3. Handling the execution of IP documents, including organizing and obtaining executed assignments, declarations, and oaths.
4. Overseeing procedural patent filings, such as information disclosure statements, in coordination with responsible attorneys.
5. Supporting various IP Department projects as needed.

Who are we looking for?
Education:

1. A minimum of a bachelor's degree is required.
2. Professional certification (such as a paralegal certificate) is a plus.

Experience:

1. A minimum of three (3) years of experience as a paralegal and/or patent filing or docketing specialist.
2. Previous experience as an in-house IP paralegal is preferred.
3. Pharmaceutical industry experience is preferred.

Languages:

1. Fluency in English is required.

1. Must have a demonstrated capacity to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and to work efficiently and independently in a deadline-driven, high-volume environment.
2. Highly detail-oriented with excellent oral and written communication skills.
3. Engages actively in Group, Department, and cross-functional projects and initiatives where strategies, processes, operating standards and/or practices are developed and deployed, to ensure the highest quality IP portfolios in a high-performing, agile team setting.
