Role: ETL Tester (Contract)

Location: Galway City, Hybrid

Responsibilities
  • Deep understanding of ETL testing, including source-to-target reconciliation and validation of transformation logic to ensure data integrity.
  • Strong programming ability in Java, Python, or another object-oriented language, with the capability to build custom test automation frameworks as required.
  • Experience with Oracle and Snowflake databases, including advanced SQL skills for data validations.
Your Experience
  • Deep understanding of ETL testing, including source-to-target reconciliation and validation of transformation logic to ensure data integrity.
  • Strong programming ability in Java, Python, or another object-oriented language, with the capability to build custom test automation frameworks as required.
  • Experience with Oracle and Snowflake databases, including advanced SQL skills for data validations.
The Expertise required
  • Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience analysing workflows and identifying opportunities to design and implement test automation.
  • Deep understanding of ETL testing including source-to-target reconciliation and transformation logic validation to ensure data integrity.
  • Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or any object-oriented language with the ability to build custom test automation frameworks as needed.
  • Experience working with Cucumber or another BDD tool for designing clear, maintainable, business-readable test scenarios.
  • Familiarity with ICEDQ or similar data testing platforms is a plus.
  • Experience with Oracle and Snowflake databases, including advanced SQL skills for data validations.
  • Familiarity with JIRA and Xray to ensure traceability and audit compliance.
  • Experience working on CI/CD pipelines and implementing quality gates in deployment pipelines is a plus.
  • Knowledge of big data technologies, including Apache Spark and EMR, in a distributed data environment is a plus.
  • Experience working within an agile development environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work with multiple teams across the organisation.
