Senior Production Manager - County Cork

Role Objectives: Responsible for manufacturing products at optimum quality, delivery, cost and customer satisfaction in accordance with defined schedule.

Responsibilities:
  1. Leading a group of Production Leads, Team Leaders and Production Operators according to established procedures and current world class manufacturing practices.
  2. Responsible for manufacturing products at optimum cost, quality, customer satisfaction and delivery in accordance with defined schedule.
  3. Establish standards of performance and monitor same against pre-determined standards.
  4. Production planning, Product Line layout and staffing levels for proper operation.
  5. Provide positive leadership by interpreting company policy and management directives for Production Personnel.
  6. Provide accurate and timely information to management as directed by ongoing business needs.
  7. Establish and maintain high level of employee morale.
  8. Ensure continuous reduction in absenteeism and attrition levels.
  9. Maintain sound disciplinary procedures in line with company requirements.
  10. Supervise compliance with Health and Safety, Environmental and Security Procedures.
  11. Housekeeping.
  12. Continuous improvement in best practice manufacturing.
  13. Manpower Planning.
  14. Ensure Manufacturing Operatives are trained to optimum standards.
  15. Perform regular appraisals of all Production employees in compliance with company procedure and manage under-performers.
  16. Training of Production Team Leaders in team and continuous improvement skills.
  17. Quality: Assure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements.
  18. Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with Health & Safety Legislation and Regulations.
Minimum Requirements:
  1. At least 8 years' experience in the supervision of large number of personnel, preferably in a world class manufacturing environment.
  2. Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills.
  3. Excellent leadership skills.
