Introduction: Join SymphonyAI Financial Services as Technical Author and work in our Financial Crime Prevention Product Engineering team. We develop innovative software and solutions for regulatory compliance, fraud, and financial crime detection, investigation, and reporting.

Job Description

What you'll do:

  1. Communicate technical information about products or services in a way that is easy to understand.
  2. Present information in the form of user and technical guides for software applications, including operator guides, training guides, or online help incorporated into software.
  3. Establish an understanding of the product or application, and then design and write documentation to explain it to users.
  4. Assess the nature of documentation requirements through close involvement with key stakeholders and experts.
  5. Conduct research and gather information about the technology or customer utilization/experience of the service.
  6. Present information effectively by organizing it to meet reader needs, writing clear and relevant content, and incorporating screenshots and diagrams.
  7. Work on multiple projects and services at the same time.
Desired Experience
  1. Experience writing a range of different types of documentation and for different audiences, including configuration and technical guides.
  2. Strong command of English in professional and technical contexts.
  3. Experience with single sourcing documentation tools such as MadCap Flare.
  4. Experience with the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Microsoft Word, with an understanding of styles and macros.
  5. Experience with a graphics tool such as Visio, SnagIt, or Photoshop.

The following would be beneficial but are not essential:

  1. Experience writing documentation for financial services or compliance software or creating API or SaaS products documentation.
  2. Knowledge of revision control systems like SVN and Git, technologies like CSS, HTML, XML, JSON, SQL, tools like JIRA and Confluence, and instructional design principles and UX principles.
