About the Role:

The Health Care Assistant is a key member of the multi-disciplinary team responsible for resident care. Your role includes supporting residents with their physical, emotional, and cultural needs, promoting their independence and wellbeing.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Undertake hygiene and dress care functions for residents.
  • Safe manual handling and transfer of residents within the nursing home.
  • Delivery of food and feeding of residents.
  • Manage and tidy residents' rooms and return used trays and dishes to the kitchen.
  • Bed making and linen changes.
  • Provide incontinence and toilet care, including handling of catheter bags.
  • Assist trained nurses with psychological and social support as needed.
  • Maintain dignity, comfort, safety, and safety of residents at all times.
  • Adhere to hygiene, health, and safety regulations.
