Responsibilities:
  1. Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Irish classes tailored to students' needs and interests.
  2. Ensure teaching aligns with best practices in classroom management and learner engagement.
  3. Follow the Leaving Certificate syllabus, supplementing with sourced or developed materials.
  4. Help prepare students for the Leaving Certificate exams.
  5. Record students' progress and communicate with parents during meetings.
  6. Participate in Continuous Professional Development and the school's Teacher Development Programme.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Irish Language, or related field.
  • Professional teaching qualification (e.g., PME or equivalent).
  • Teacher Council Registration.
  • Fluency in Irish (oral and written).
  • Strong knowledge of Irish curriculum and exams.
  • Passion for teaching and promoting Irish language and culture.
  • Experience teaching secondary school students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
