Role:In-person teaching
Hours:Approximately 3 hours per week
Location:Dundrum, Dublin 16
Reports to:Principal
Start Date:Immediately
Responsibilities:- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Irish classes tailored to students' needs and interests.
- Ensure teaching aligns with best practices in classroom management and learner engagement.
- Follow the Leaving Certificate syllabus, supplementing with sourced or developed materials.
- Help prepare students for the Leaving Certificate exams.
- Record students' progress and communicate with parents during meetings.
- Participate in Continuous Professional Development and the school's Teacher Development Programme.
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Irish Language, or related field.
- Professional teaching qualification (e.g., PME or equivalent).
- Teacher Council Registration.
- Fluency in Irish (oral and written).
- Strong knowledge of Irish curriculum and exams.
- Passion for teaching and promoting Irish language and culture.
- Experience teaching secondary school students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
