Exciting times ahead Our global tech client is seeking a dynamic Legal Counsel to navigate the thrilling landscape of commercial, corporate, intellectual property, employment, and compliance matters within our vibrant Research and Development team in Ireland.

Who are we looking for?
- Experienced Legal Executives, In-house Lawyers, or private practise Solicitors ready to step into a global role.
- Collaborate under the Head of Legal for Huawei Ireland, providing practical legal advice that drives our innovations

Key Responsibilities
- Contractual Mastery: Advise on a range of contractual issues from procurement to research partnerships.
- Document Dynamo: Review and draught commercial contracts, NDAs, and IP agreements.
- Compliance Champion: Support statutory compliance across anti-bribery, data protection, and export control.
- Training Guru: Conduct engaging sessions for non-legal staff on compliance and legal risks.
- Strategic Partner: Collaborate with the European legal team to address regional challenges and solutions.
- Future-Focused: Horizon-scan for upcoming legal changes impacting Huawei's operations.

Valued Skills
- Legal Drafting Pro: Craft bespoke documents with clarity and precision.
- Commercial Law Expertise: Strong background in commercial contracts, employment law, and compliance.
- IP Know-How: Knowledge of patent, copyright, trade secret, and data privacy issues.
- Relationship Builder: Collaborate effectively across diverse stakeholders.
- Pragmatic Problem Solver: Understand business needs with a commercial mindset.
- Communication Whiz: Translate legal jargon into plain English for all.
- In-house legal background or experience in cross-border transactions.
- Knowledge of employment law or real estate issues.
- Familiarity with research projects between academia and industry.
