Hanly Quarries Ltd is seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team at our Elphin location in Co. Roscommon. As an Electrician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining electrical equipment and power distribution throughout our various plants. You will ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with OSHE regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Performing maintenance and troubleshooting on electrical equipment.
  2. Establishing procedures to identify and rectify electrical problems.
  3. Installing and maintaining power controls on plant equipment and machinery.
  4. Installing and maintaining plant and building lighting.
  5. Conducting wire connections to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components.
  6. Repairing electrical faults in quarry plant, machinery, and lorries.
  7. Conducting work area inspections and basic mechanical activities.
  8. Maintaining documentation and organizing work tasks effectively.
Skills Required
  1. FETAC Level 6 Electrical Trade Qualification.
  2. Ideally, experience working in an industrial setting.
  3. Experience in the design, installation, and maintenance of ELV and LV systems.
  4. Proficiency in cable installation, glanding, termination, and testing.
  5. Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  6. Willingness to work safely in an active environment.
  7. Familiarity with safety procedures, method statements, and risk assessments.
  8. Knowledge of mechanical components of pumps and motors is desirable but not essential.
Qualifications
  1. FETAC Level 6 Electrical Trade Qualification
Key Requirements
  1. 5+ years of practical experience in the heavy industrial sector (desirable but not essential).
  2. Ability to work to the highest safety standards in accordance with OSHE regulations.
  3. Experience in cable containment systems, including cable tray, trunking, and conduit (Galvanized and Plastic).
  4. Proficiency in fault finding and troubleshooting on Low Voltage systems.
  5. Awareness of energy efficiency in design and maintenance.
