Our Ideal Person

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Van Driver to join our team for night shifts, supporting timely and safe delivery of goods. The role requires a punctual and professional driver with a strong commitment to safety and efficiency. This position is critical to ensuring smooth logistics operations, with shift start times generally at 20:00.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Night Driving: Transport goods to designated locations during night shifts, starting at 20:00.
• Vehicle Checks: Conduct thorough pre-use checks on the van before each shift, ensuring all safety and operational standards are met. Report any issues or maintenance needs promptly.
• Safe Driving: Maintain the highest safety standards on the road, adhering to all driving regulations and company policies.
• Load Management: Secure and organise loads efficiently to prevent shifting and damage during transport.
• Communication: Report any delays, issues, or required route adjustments to the Transport Manager or dispatch team to ensure timely deliveries.
  
  

Knowledge, Skills And Experience Required

• Driving Licence: Must hold a full Category B driving licence.
• Experience: Minimum of 12 months experience driving a van or similar vehicle, ideally in a delivery or logistics role.
• Night Shift Availability: Flexibility and willingness to work night shifts, with a general start time of 20:00.
• Safety Conscious: Knowledgeable about vehicle safety checks and compliance with road safety regulations, training will be provided.
• Organised and Punctual: Ability to manage time effectively, ensuring punctual arrivals and efficient delivery schedules.
  
  

Additional Requirements

• Physical Fitness: Ability to lift and move packages as needed during loading and unloading.
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with dispatch and management teams, providing updates as required.
