Maintenance Electrician

Maintenance Electrician – ESS Ltd. in Charleville, County Cork, Ireland. The role involves carrying out maintenance activities within a high-volume food industry production environment, including fault-finding on electrical and mechanical equipment, as well as routine and non-routine maintenance tasks.

• Preventive maintenance, fault-finding and repair of electrical and mechanical systems supporting buildings, utilities and process equipment.
• Perform routine and non-routine maintenance service or repairs within the facility, including service of machinery and electrical and mechanical repairs or installation to established standards. Equipment may include processing, packaging, and utilities equipment (e.g. chillers, compressors, AHU, HVAC, lighting, heating).
• Record all maintenance activities in the site Computerised Maintenance Management System.
• Ensure maintenance activities, equipment developments, and system efficiency improvements comply with site Safety Standards and the Quality Management System.
• Manage and execute LOTO & Permit-to-Work systems, including supervision of service contractors.
• Maintain housekeeping standards during maintenance activities.
• Deliver equipment familiarisation and training to colleagues and client site personnel (e.g. equipment operators).
• Identify and implement cost and technical improvements under the engineering department's Continuous Improvement program.

• Electrical Trades Qualification with experience in a similar role.
• Basic mechanical maintenance knowledge and experience.
• Experience in trouble-shooting and fault-finding, including with automated control systems.
• Ability to work on own initiative.

Note: There is a mix of 24/7 shift working roles, and days-based plus on-call roles. Candidates must specify any preferences and/or constraints along with their applications for the roles.
