Medical Registrar – Munster Region, Full-Time / Fixed-Term

Opalus Healthcare is currently recruiting Medical Registrars to join a hospital in the Munster region. This is an exciting opportunity for motivated doctors to gain exposure to a variety of medical specialties in a supportive and progressive clinical environment.

Whether you're looking to broaden your experience or advance within structured medical teams, this role offers a strong foundation for continued professional development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Care: Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in general medicine and related specialties.
  • Ward-Based Duties: Take part in daily ward rounds, case discussions, and multidisciplinary planning.
  • Clinical Procedures: Perform key diagnostic and therapeutic interventions as required.
  • Admissions & Discharges: Manage patient flow through safe and effective assessment, treatment, and discharge planning.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with Consultants, SHOs, Nursing staff, and Allied Health Professionals.
  • On-Call Duties: Participate in the on-call rota for acute and general medical services.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records in compliance with hospital and regulatory guidelines.

Candidate Requirements

  • IMC Registration: Fully registered with the Irish Medical Council (General Division)
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience working as a Medical Registrar (in Ireland - preferred)
  • Work Eligibility: Must be legally eligible to work in Ireland.
