Tax Manager - Employment Tax & Global Mobility Services

Forvis Mazars In Ireland is seeking a Tax Manager in the Employment Tax & Global Mobility Services (ET & GMS) team within our Tax Advisory Services division. The role focuses on advising on employment taxes and global mobility for domestic and international businesses, addressing issues such as:

  • All aspects of employment taxes (BIKs, tax-free employee incentives, ERR, PAYE health checks, Revenue PAYE audits, share-based remuneration, termination/redundancy payments).
  • Global mobility tax matters (inbound/outbound assignments, cross-border commuters, remote workers).
  • Employment tax and global mobility tax compliance (personal tax returns for assignees, A1s/CoCs, share scheme returns, SARP-related returns, etc.).

Key responsibilities

  • Work with our Dublin team to manage a varied client portfolio and develop your own portfolio.
  • Be part of a dedicated team focused on employment taxes and global mobility.
  • Demonstrate tax technical expertise in employment taxes and global mobility.
  • Build strong client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives.
  • Advance people management skills, including mentoring junior team members.
  • Collaborate with the Forvis Mazars international community and learn from a broad range of experts.
  • Hold CTA qualification and have a strong academic background.
  • Possess strong technical knowledge of employment taxes, global mobility and social security matters in Ireland.
  • Be a good communicator and able to work effectively in a team.
  • Experience reviewing personal tax returns for internationally mobile employees and related applications (e.g., A1 and Certs of Coverage, SARP).
  • Previous client-facing experience in a tax team.
  • Be organized, self-starting and a proactive team player able to meet deadlines and encourage others to do the same.
  • Drive, ambition and a commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.
