ProSource are presently seeking a Quantity Surveyor on behalf of a reputable Main Building and Civils Contractor based in Athlone, specializing in delivering high-quality construction projects across residential, commercial, industrial, and civil engineering sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing accurate cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents for building and civil engineering projects.
  • Managing procurement processes, including sourcing and negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Conducting regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure compliance with project budgets and quality standards.
  • Preparing interim valuations, progress reports, and final accounts.
  • Managing project variations and ensuring changes are accurately recorded and costed.
  • Supporting project teams with financial management, risk analysis, and value engineering solutions.
  • Liaising with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives.
  • Monitoring and reporting on project financial performance, identifying cost-saving opportunities where possible.
  • Ensuring adherence to contractual terms, building regulations, and industry standards.
Requirements
  • A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably with experience in both building and civil engineering projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish construction methods, regulations, and contracts.
  • Proficiency in cost management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and negotiation abilities, with a focus on building strong relationships.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • A proactive and detail-oriented approach to managing multiple projects.
Package
