Job Title: Head of Tax - Strategic Leadership Opportunity

Location: South Dublin (Hybrid)

Salary: DOE plus bonus and benefits

Our client is a well-established boutique professional services firm in South Dublin, renowned for its exceptional client service, supportive culture, and commitment to work–life balance. They are seeking a Head of Tax to lead their tax function and play a pivotal role in the firm's continued growth.

Who should apply?

We are looking for a senior-level tax expert who combines technical excellence with proven leadership:

  • CTA/AITI qualified with significant post-qualification experience
  • Strong track record in leading teams and managing a diverse client portfolio
  • Currently operating at Director or Partner level within a Top 10 professional services firm, or a senior leader seeking a move to a more agile, boutique environment
  • Exceptional client relationship management skills and commercial awareness

Role and Reporting Lines

This role will report directly to the Managing Partner of firm. Responsibilities include:

  • Identify new service opportunities and support client business needs
  • Lead and manage the Tax Division, ensuring high-quality client delivery
  • Manage your own portfolio of clients, providing strategic advisory services
  • Develop and execute growth strategies for the tax function
  • Mentor and upskill the tax team, fostering professional development
  • Drive operational efficiencies and process improvements
  • Collaborate closely with the Managing Partner, Partners, and other divisions
  • Identify new service opportunities to meet evolving client needs
