Journal Media (The Journal, The 42) is looking for an experienced part-time Bookkeeper

Job Summary

You will be working on a permanent part-time basis, five mornings per week (20 hours) reporting to the Financial Controller. The role is a hybrid one, you will work both remotely and at the company offices in Dublin city centre.

Core Responsibilities
  • Processing sales invoices, receipts, and payments.
  • Accounts Receivable – reconciling debtor accounts and addressing customer account queries
  • Accounts payable – Processing purchase invoices, reconciling creditor accounts and liaising with creditors
  • Allocation of bank transactions
  • Perform banks and credit cards reconciliations
  • Prepare accounts to trial balance
  • Liaising with company accountant
  • Other ad hoc duties and tasks as required by the business
Skills/Requirements
  • 2+ years' bookkeeping experience in a busy office environment
  • Accounting Technician or IPASS Certification
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to take ownership of the role
  • Excellent attention to detail and comfortable working on own initiative with the ability to plan and control their workload
  • Ability to work under time pressure and to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Sage Accounts
