At Circit, we offer a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious API Product Manager with SaaS experience to help build the first global bank connectivity platform for auditors and professional services firms. This role suits motivated individuals eager to make a significant impact. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Technology, Marketing, and Sales teams.

As an API Product Manager, you will oversee the entire lifecycle of our bank integration projects. You will work closely with engineering, business development, partnerships, and external banking partners to define and deliver scalable, secure API solutions that facilitate data consolidation. Your responsibilities include identifying customer needs, translating partner requirements, and delivering APIs that are easy to use and maintain.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for bank API integrations.
  2. Lead discovery with banks and financial institutions to understand API offerings, authentication models, and data structures.
  3. Partner with business development and partnerships teams to evaluate and onboard new banking partners.
  4. Translate customer needs and regulatory requirements into clear, actionable product requirements.
  5. Collaborate with engineering teams to design, implement, and improve API interfaces and data ingestion pipelines.
  6. Develop API documentation, usage guidelines, and partner onboarding materials.
  7. Define KPIs and monitor the performance and reliability of banking integrations.
  8. Maintain a deep understanding of the regulatory landscape (e.g., PSD2, Open Banking) and its impact on our product.

Candidate Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of product management experience, with prior exposure to APIs within the financial services industry. You should have a dynamic approach, be adaptable, and thrive in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment. You should be:

  • Experienced with banking, financial data, or regulated data environments.
  • Knowledgeable about RESTful APIs, OAuth, webhooks, and related technologies.
  • Capable of communicating effectively with both technical and business audiences.
  • Skilled in working cross-functionally with engineering, partnerships, compliance, and design teams.
  • Excellent in written and verbal communication.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced setting.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Open Banking frameworks or core banking system integrations.
  • Background in software engineering or technical architecture.
  • Experience in a B2B SaaS environment serving financial clients.
