Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer – Data Centre (On-Site)

Location: Dublin, Ireland

Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role: Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their dynamic team on-site at a cutting-edge Data Centre project in Dublin. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking organisation driving innovation in the Data Centre industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical systems within the data centre environment.
  2. Provide technical leadership and support to project teams, ensuring mechanical designs align with project requirements and industry standards.
  3. Conduct site inspections and monitor project progress to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and quality expectations.
  4. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate mechanical systems with electrical, structural, and architectural elements.
  5. Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues, implementing effective solutions promptly.
  6. Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and documentation protocols.
  7. Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, maintaining clear communication and reporting.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 2 years in Data Centre or Mission-Critical environments.
  3. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, chilled water systems, and other mechanical infrastructure common to data Centres.
  4. Proven experience in project management and site supervision.
  5. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  6. Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  7. Familiarity with industry standards and local regulations in Ireland.
