Mechanical Lead – Life Sciences | Pharmaceutical Site | Cork (Ringaskiddy)

Are you a mechanical engineering professional ready to take the lead on complex, high-value projects in the pharmaceutical sector?

We're looking for an experienced Mechanical Lead to join a high-performing team delivering MEP systems on a major pharmaceutical site in Ringaskiddy. This role is critical to ensuring the successful delivery of mechanical systems across large-scale or multiple smaller projects—on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality, safety, and energy performance. You'll drive coordination, integration, and delivery of fully commissioned MEP systems, ensuring seamless handover and operational excellence for the client.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead mechanical delivery across the full project lifecycle—from tendering through to commissioning.
  • Support procurement of MEP packages and temporary electrical works aligned to project needs.
  • Coordinate with utility companies to ensure smooth infrastructural delivery.
  • Ensure drawings, installation, and commissioning plans align with construction programmes.
  • Uphold high standards for safety, quality, and energy performance.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Building Services, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or a relevant mechanical trade background with significant site experience.
  • Membership of a professional body such as CIBSE, CIOB, IEI (or equivalent) is an advantage.
  • Proven track record in MEP delivery within complex, regulated environments—ideally pharmaceutical or life sciences.
  • Strong planning, programming, and coordination skills
