Role Purpose:

We are looking for a Senior Cardiac Physiologist to join our Cardiology Department. The successful candidate will need to be familiar with the techniques and range of equipment used in current medical practice for the diagnosis, treatment, and care of patients referred to the Cardiology Department.

Qualifications/Experience:
  • Association of the Society of Cardiac Technicians.
  • A B.S.c in clinical measurement science or equivalent qualification.
  • Evidence of post graduate qualifications e.g. BSE or BHRS qualification.
  • At least 3 years post qualification experience.
Key Responsibilities:

The role is responsible for many duties, including but not limited to:

  • Perform and interpret ECGs, Stress tests, Holter monitoring & analysis, BP Monitors & analysis, Event monitors & analysis. Experience in Electrophysiology, independent operator in the cath lab, pacemaker, ICD implants, follow-up, and operating remote device clinics.
  • Knowledge in all core areas, with specialist knowledge in pacing, echocardiography, or Electrophysiology, supported by professional qualifications, would be desirable.
  • Support the Head of Department in implementing initiatives to improve and develop the Cardiology Department's service.
