Position: Lairage Operative

Location: Kilbeggan

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 6:00 am - Finish.

• Ensure the wellbeing of livestock during their time at the facility
• Carefully move livestock to designated holding pens with minimal stress
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the lairage facilities
• Monitor the flow of livestock to ensure the abattoir is adequately supplied
• Comply with all health and safety regulations to prevent accidents
• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities
• Take on additional tasks as requested by management

• Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Fluent English is essential.
• Strong communication skills.
• Self-motivated and able to use initiative.
• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Experience with livestock is desirable
