Overview

Director - Accounting & Finance Recruitment - Previously a Qualified Accountant. An Irish business, part of a UK Plc, operates as a standalone business with revenue over €100m. Seeking a future Finance Director, this senior role involves leading a finance team and owning processes.

Responsibilities
  • Work alongside Operations, Supply Chain and purchasing
  • Maintain accurate forecasts for margin, cost, and cash
  • Conduct "what-if" analysis projects to drive business improvement
  • Track KPIs and collaborate with management to identify issues, implement improvements, and monitor progress
  • Ensure smooth operation of general accounting
  • Implement controls and processes to ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and consistency of work delivered by the FSSC
  • Prepare Directors' Management Pack and Finance Team Management Pack
  • Contribute to the development of the 3-year strategic plan
  • Oversee cash and working capital management
  • Supervise taxation, payroll and intercompany transactions
  • Coordinate month-end reporting
  • Lead monthly forecasting processes
  • Coordinate the annual budgeting cycle
  • Manage a team of capable finance professionals at various career stages
  • Enhance productivity through automation, AI, and well-defined systems and procedures
Ideal Experience
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Ready to progress to a Finance Director role within 2 years
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a finance management role
  • Organised and logical thinker, results-oriented and efficient
  • Inquisitive and data-driven
  • Eager to learn and grow
