Job Description:

At AECOM, we are currently recruiting for an Associate Director, Mechanical Engineer to join us at our Dublin, Cork, or Galway office.

Here's what you'll do:

As the Associate Director, Mechanical Engineer, you will:

  • Lead and manage the mechanical engineering team across Ireland.

  • Deliver both stand-alone and multi-disciplinary projects with excellence.

  • Mentor and support engineers and technicians to grow their careers and capabilities.

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, identifying new opportunities and nurturing existing ones.

  • Act as Project Manager on mechanical-led or multi-disciplinary projects.

  • Drive innovation, solving complex engineering challenges with creativity and expertise.

What You'll Bring:

  • Degree Qualified – MEng or BEng in Mechanical Engineering (preferred).

  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) status.

  • Proven Experience – Strong track record delivering mechanical engineering projects in a consultancy or similar environment.

  • Sector Expertise – Experience across key sectors including healthcare, as well as leisure, commercial, and higher education.
