Barden are delighted to have been exclusively engaged by an Irish SME who is inviting an Accountant to join their team. This is a broad accounting position offering ownership of the full finance function, as well as getting involved in the day-to-day running of the business.

Small SME turnover of circa €2m per annum, but hoping to expand over the next few years.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Main duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Preparation of financial statements;
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts;
  • Assist in the preparation of budgeting and forecasting process;
  • Monitor and strengthen the control environment;
  • Manage cash flow;
  • Oversee and review operational finance;
  • Ensure tax compliance;
  • Prepare scenario analysis to support business decisions;
  • Assist with the external audit process;
  • Identify opportunities from improvements and efficiencies in current process.
  • Ad-hoc projects as they arise.

ABOUT THE PERSON:

  • Qualified Accountant or Qualified by Experience;
  • Minimum 5 years accounting experience within an SME environment;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Self-starter and ability to prioritise deadlines;
  • Strong technical ability and good attention to detail;

Office based in Dublin South, with hybrid working in place. Excellent work life balance.
