Co-Op Super Stores are seeking to hire a Retail Sales Assistant for a Full-time Permanent position in Fermoy Co-op Superstores.

Role Profile/About the Opportunity

As the successful candidate, you will report into the site manager and be part of a community-focused team that supports growth and motivation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Delivering best-in-class service to our customers including expert advice on our products.
2. Dealing with all customer queries including telephone queries, in an efficient and professional manner.
3. Restocking display areas on a regular basis to ensure product availability at all times.
4. Maintaining the highest standards of store presentation and cleanliness including shop floor, yard, and display areas.
5. Managing point of sale processes, including cash, card & credit transactions.
6. Adhering to policies and procedures for the security of cash and merchandise.
7. Participating in regular stock taking including daily cycle counting and stock counts.
8. Flexibility across a range of departments.
9. Product coding, pricing, and updating of prices on goods for re-sales.
10. Adherence to all Society policies & procedures, Health & Safety procedures and reporting of any hazards to the Branch Management.

What you will bring to Co-Op Superstores:

1. Previous experience in a similar role is desired but not essential.
2. Experience within the Agri sector/ Builders provider/ Hardware would be an advantage but not essential.
3. Be prepared to work in a dynamic and fast-moving environment with a strong customer focus.
4. Demonstrate initiative and ability to be flexible when the occasion demands it.
5. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
6. Team player.
